Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring tender bites of prime rib, a velvety Parmesan sauce, and hearty mushrooms, perfect for a cozy dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) uncooked pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 7 oz (200g) cremini mushrooms, sliced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup Parmesan, grated
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning or smoked paprika
- 1 pound (450g) cooked prime rib, sliced into bite-size pieces
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Once melted, add sliced mushrooms, salt, and black pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender and golden brown.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, stirring frequently.
- Lower the heat and pour in heavy cream. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes. Stir in grated Parmesan and Cajun seasoning or smoked paprika until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta and sliced prime rib to the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the creamy sauce.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra umami, add a splash of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce. To make it spicier, increase the Cajun seasoning or add red pepper flakes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of cream or broth.
