- 36 Oreo cookies (regular or mint flavor)
- 6 tablespoons (78 grams) melted butter
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 8 ounces (227 grams) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (120 grams) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 2 cups (480 ml) whipped topping, thawed
- 1 cup (170 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
- Chocolate shavings or mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Crush the 36 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
- Mix the Oreo crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
- Press the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish and refrigerate.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Spread half of the mint cream filling over the chilled Oreo crust and refrigerate.
- Melt the chocolate chips with milk over low heat, stirring continuously until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the first mint cream layer and spread evenly.
- Add the remaining mint cream filling over the chocolate layer and smooth the top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or mint leaves before serving.
Notes
Allow cream cheese to soften for easy mixing. Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor. Chill thoroughly before serving for best texture.
