  • 36 Oreo cookies (regular or mint flavor)
  • 6 tablespoons (78 grams) melted butter
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 8 ounces (227 grams) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (120 grams) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 cups (480 ml) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup (170 grams) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
  • Chocolate shavings or mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the 36 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip-top bag with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix the Oreo crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
  3. Press the Oreo mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish and refrigerate.
  4. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract, mixing until fully combined.
  6. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Spread half of the mint cream filling over the chilled Oreo crust and refrigerate.
  9. Melt the chocolate chips with milk over low heat, stirring continuously until smooth.
  10. Pour the melted chocolate over the first mint cream layer and spread evenly.
  11. Add the remaining mint cream filling over the chocolate layer and smooth the top.
  12. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  13. Garnish with chocolate shavings or mint leaves before serving.

Notes

Allow cream cheese to soften for easy mixing. Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor. Chill thoroughly before serving for best texture.
