Ingredients

For the Cloud Bread:

  • 4 large eggs separated into whites and yolks
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Stepwise Method:

  • Step 1: Preheat Your Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This is essential for achieving that perfect bake.
  • Step 2: Prepare Your Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure the bread doesn’t stick.
  • Step 3: Separate the Eggs
Carefully separate the egg whites from the yolks, placing them in two separate mixing bowls.
  • Step 4: Whip the Egg Whites
Using an electric mixer, beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar on high speed until stiff peaks form. This should take about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Step 5: Mix the Yolks
In the bowl with the egg yolks, add the softened cream cheese and salt. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  • Step 6: Fold the Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the egg yolk mixture. Be careful not to deflate the egg whites, as this is what gives the bread its airy texture.
  • Step 7: Shape the Bread
Spoon the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, creating mounds. You can shape them into rounds or rectangles, depending on your preference.
  • Step 8: Bake
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and firm to the touch.
  • Step 9: Cool & Serve
Remove the cloud bread from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before carefully lifting it off the parchment paper. Serve warm or let it cool completely before storing.
