Ingredients

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream or vanilla gelato Choose high-quality for best flavor.
  • 2 oz espresso or strong brewed coffee Freshly brewed is ideal.

Instructions

  • Start by brewing your espresso or strong coffee. If using an espresso machine, pull two shots. For brewed coffee, aim for a robust flavor by using a higher coffee-to-water ratio.
  • While your coffee is brewing, scoop two generous scoops of vanilla ice cream or gelato into your chosen serving glasses or mugs.
  • Once your coffee is ready, pour it over the ice cream scoops immediately. The hot coffee will melt the ice cream slightly, creating a luscious blend.
  • If you’d like, sprinkle your Affogato with chocolate shavings, a dash of cinnamon, or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra touch of decadence.
