Ingredients

For the Chicken Cutlets:

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 8 ounces each, trimmed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herb blend
  • 1/4 cup low-fat Italian dressing
  • 3/4 cup whole-wheat breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (low-fat version works well)
  • 1 large egg

  • Step 1: Prepare the Chicken - Place chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  • Step 2: Season the Chicken - Mix kosher salt, garlic powder, and dried Italian herbs. Sprinkle on both sides of chicken cutlets.
  • Step 3: Marinate - Combine low-fat Italian dressing and egg. Dip each chicken cutlet into the mixture.
  • Step 4: Coat with Breadcrumbs - Mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Coat chicken cutlets after dipping in dressing mixture.
  • Step 5: Preheat the Air Fryer - Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 6: Air Fry the Cutlets - Spray air fryer basket with olive oil. Place cutlets in a single layer and spray tops with olive oil.
  • Step 7: Cook - Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) and is golden brown.
  • Step 8: Serve and Enjoy! - Let cutlets rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides!
