Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs whisked
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips or crushed chocolate bar divided

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) to ensure even cooking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar, and cream until light and fluffy.
  • Whisk in the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda, then gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Gently fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips or crushed chocolate bar into the dough.
  • Portion out the dough using a spoon or cookie scoop and place on parchment paper, leaving space between cookies.
  • Place the parchment paper with cookie dough in the air fryer basket and cook for about 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove cookies from the air fryer and let cool on a wire rack. Optionally, sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top while warm.
