Ingredients

For the Nuggets:

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or to taste
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup honey or to taste
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup dijon mustard
  • Olive oil cooking spray or olive oil for misting, optional and as desired

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, finely grated parmesan cheese, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • In another bowl, pour the melted butter over the bite-sized chicken pieces. Toss to coat each piece thoroughly.
  • Take each butter-coated chicken piece and dip it into the breadcrumb mixture. Press down gently to ensure the breadcrumbs adhere well. Place the coated nuggets on a baking sheet.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil cooking spray or mist with olive oil. Arrange the chicken nuggets in a single layer in the basket.
  • Air fry the nuggets for about 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • While the nuggets are cooking, mix together the honey, yellow mustard, and dijon mustard in a small bowl.
