Ingredients

  • 1 pound russet potatoes sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 serving Dipping sauce optional

Instructions

  • Start by washing and peeling your russet potatoes. Slice them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  • After soaking, drain the water and pat the potato slices dry. Transfer them to a mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, dried parsley, and dried oregano. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook the fries for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once cooked, remove the fries from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
