  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise adds creaminess and flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard for a hint of tang
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshens up the flavor
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion adds sweetness and texture
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs helps achieve crispy exterior
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for color and freshness
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning enhances salmon's natural flavors
  • Kosher salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray to ensure patties crisp up nicely
  • Preferred sauce for dipping try tartar sauce, spicy mayo, or yogurt dip

Instructions

Cooking Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained canned salmon, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, chopped onion, panko breadcrumbs, parsley, seafood seasoning, salt, and pepper. Use a fork to gently mix everything together until well combined. Be careful not to mash the salmon too much; you want to maintain some texture.
  • Once the mixture is well-combined, use your hands to form patties. Aim for about 2-3 inches in diameter and about 1/2 inch thick. You should be able to make around 6-8 patties, depending on the size.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). This step is crucial for achieving the crispy exterior.
  • Lightly spray the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray to help prevent the patties from sticking.
  • Carefully place the salmon patties in the preheated air fryer basket, making sure to leave space between each one for proper air circulation. Spray the tops of the patties lightly with cooking spray. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Once cooked, remove the patties from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute or two. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
