Ingredients

  • 8 ounces ziti pasta cooked al dente
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast or thigh meat diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded, divided
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated, divided
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add 8 ounces of ziti pasta and cook according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  • If your chicken isn’t already cooked, dice about 2 cups of chicken breast or thigh meat. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken, sprinkle with 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste, and cook until the chicken is fully cooked and lightly browned. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti, diced chicken, and 2 cups of Alfredo sauce. Stir gently to coat everything evenly. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil. Pour half of the pasta mixture into the dish. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta. Add the remaining pasta mixture on top, then finish with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown on top.
  • Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for a burst of color and fresh flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
