Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • 4 6-oz salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1.5 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pinch Salt to taste
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the Creamy Dill Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise full fat
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 2-3 teaspoons milk to adjust consistency
  • 0.5 teaspoon honey

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This temperature will allow the salmon to cook evenly and retain its moisture.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Salmon
Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the olive oil over the fillets, and sprinkle with lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Make sure each fillet is well coated to enhance the flavor.
  • Step 3: Bake the Salmon
Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the salmon for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. The exact time will depend on the thickness of your fillets, so keep an eye on them.
  • Step 4: Make the Creamy Dill Sauce
While the salmon is baking, prepare the creamy dill sauce. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, minced garlic, chopped dill, milk, honey, and a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if necessary.
  • Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Once the salmon is baked to perfection, remove it from the oven and plate it. Drizzle the creamy dill sauce generously over the top. Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables or a fresh salad, and enjoy!
