In a mixing bowl, mash the 4 medium bananas until smooth. You can leave a few small chunks for added texture if desired.
Add the ¾ cup milk to the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon baking soda, and ½ teaspoon salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
In a frying pan or deep skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat. To test if the oil is ready, drop a small spoonful of batter into the oil; if it sizzles immediately, it’s time to fry!
Using a spoon or small ice cream scoop, drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until each side is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Once cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove the fritters from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm, and enjoy your delicious banana fritters!
