Ingredients

For the Syrup:

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 0.5 cup Grand Marnier

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup Mascarpone cheese high-quality
  • 0.5 cup Cooled sugar syrup

For the Dessert:

  • 1 package Ladyfingers
  • 2 cups Fresh berries mixed strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries

Instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Begin by combining 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in ½ cup of Grand Marnier. Allow this syrup to cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of mascarpone cheese. Using a whisk or electric mixer, beat until smooth and creamy. Gradually add ½ cup of the cooled sugar syrup to the mascarpone, mixing until well combined. If you like, fold in a small amount of whipped cream for extra lightness.
  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the Grand Marnier syrup, ensuring they are soaked but not overly soggy. Place them in a single layer at the bottom of your prepared baking dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers. Add a layer of mixed fresh berries on top. Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture and another layer of berries.
  • Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor. This allows the flavors to meld and the dessert to set properly.
  • Just before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder for a finishing touch. Use a serving spatula to slice and serve, ensuring each piece has a beautiful layer of berries and mascarpone.
