Ingredients

For the Pie:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Preheat Your Oven - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it's hot and ready for the pie.
  • Step 2: Cook the Beef - In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent. Drain any excess fat.
  • Step 3: Add Relish and Mustard - Stir in the dill pickle relish and yellow mustard into the beef mixture. Ensure everything is well combined and remove from heat.
  • Step 4: Prepare the Cheese - Layer the cooked beef mixture in the bottom of a greased pie dish. Top with the slices of American cheese and sprinkle the shredded sharp cheddar cheese over it.
  • Step 5: Mix the Batter - In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, Bisquick baking mix, and eggs until smooth.
  • Step 6: Pour and Bake - Pour the Bisquick mixture evenly over the beef and cheese layers in the pie dish. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Step 7: Cool and Serve - Once baked, let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
