Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon cubed and seeds removed
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup choose your preferred natural sweetener
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed for the best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves chopped finely

Instructions

  • Start by cutting a ripe watermelon into small cubes, making sure to remove all the seeds for a smooth sorbet texture. Measure out 4 cups of the cubed watermelon and place it in your blender.
  • Pour in 1/4 cup of honey or agave syrup. Next, squeeze in 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice to add brightness and balance the sweetness.
  • Secure the lid on your blender and pulse the ingredients until they form a smooth, slushy mixture, about 1 to 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides occasionally.
  • Stir in 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh mint leaves to add a cooling herbal note.
  • Transfer the mixture to a shallow, freezer-safe container and freeze for about 3 to 4 hours. Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving for easier scooping.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Freezer-safe container

Notes

  • Use seedless watermelon or remove seeds thoroughly to avoid unpleasant bites.
  • Adjust sweetness by tasting before freezing; add more honey or agave if needed.
  • Freeze watermelon cubes beforehand for quicker blending and creamier texture.
  • For extra smooth sorbet, strain blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week; soften before serving.
