Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 ounces brie cheese sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fig jam
  • 1/4 cup turkey bacon cooked and chopped
  • fresh arugula for garnish

Instructions

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Slice the brie cheese and chop the turkey bacon into bite-sized pieces.
  • Spread the butter evenly on one side of each slice of whole grain bread.
  • On the unbuttered side of one slice of bread, layer the sliced brie cheese, then spread the fig jam gently over the cheese. Sprinkle the chopped turkey bacon over the jam and top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy. Flip and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove the sandwich from the skillet once golden and the brie is melted. Let cool for a minute, slice in half, and garnish with fresh arugula.
