Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Place the slices of French bread or brioche into the custard mixture, soaking for about 2-3 minutes per side.
Heat a frying pan or griddle over medium heat, adding a small amount of butter or oil to prevent sticking.
