Cajun Baked Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun or Creole seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 lb uncooked large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • French bread for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, Cajun seasoning, fresh lemon juice, chopped parsley, honey, soy sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using). Whisk until well blended.
  • Add the shrimp to the bowl with the marinade, ensuring each shrimp is well coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Transfer the marinated shrimp to a baking dish, spreading them out in a single layer. Pour any remaining marinade over the shrimp.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  • Remove the shrimp from the oven and garnish with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges. Serve with warm French bread.
