For the Canapés:

  • 1/2 lb cooked shrimp chopped
  • 1 long baguette sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 bunch parsley chopped
  • 1/2 bunch dill chopped
  • 1 cup three cheese Mexican blend shredded cheese
  • More shrimp for garnish

Instructions

Directions

  • Start by roughly chopping the cooked shrimp into smaller pieces. Place the chopped shrimp in a mixing bowl.
  • Mince the garlic and chop the parsley and dill. Add these fresh ingredients to the bowl with the shrimp.
  • Add the mayonnaise to the shrimp mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
  • Fold in the three cheese Mexican blend until it’s evenly distributed throughout the shrimp mixture.
  • Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick pieces. Toasting is optional but recommended.
  • Spread a generous amount of the shrimp filling onto each slice of baguette.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the assembled canapés on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Once baked, remove the canapés from the oven and garnish with extra shrimp if desired. Serve warm.
