Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked fettuccine pasta
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large bread bowls
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Alfredo Sauce

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Slowly add the grated Parmesan cheese while stirring continuously, allowing the sauce to thicken and become creamy. This process should take around 3-5 minutes. Keep the sauce warm on low heat.

Step 2: Combine Pasta and Chicken

  • Add the cooked fettuccine pasta and shredded chicken to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are evenly coated with the sauce. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Step 3: Prepare the Bread Bowls

  • Carefully cut the tops off each bread bowl and hollow them out, leaving about an inch of bread around the edges to hold the filling. Save the bread you scoop out for another use, like homemade croutons or dipping bread.

Step 4: Assemble and Serve

  • Spoon the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture into each bread bowl, filling them generously. Sprinkle a little extra Parmesan on top if desired. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh pop of color and flavor. Serve immediately while the bread is still crisp and the filling is warm and creamy.

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for best melting and flavor.
  • If sauce thickens too much, loosen with a splash of pasta water or extra cream.
  • Serve filled bread bowls immediately to keep the bread crisp.
