Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 6-8 tablespoons pure maple syrup or sweetener of choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ounces chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Gather Ingredients - Start by collecting all of your ingredients. Make sure your avocados are ripe; they should yield slightly to gentle pressure.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Avocados - Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into your blender or food processor. Discard the skins.
  • Step 3: Add the Cocoa Powder - To the blender, add 1/2 cup of cocoa powder. This will be the chocolatey base of your frosting.
  • Step 4: Sweeten It Up - Pour in 6 to 8 tablespoons of pure maple syrup or your preferred sweetener. Adjust the sweetness to your taste!
  • Step 5: Flavor It - Add 1/4 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 1/8 teaspoon of salt. These ingredients will enhance the flavor of your frosting.
  • Step 6: Blend Until Smooth - Blend all the ingredients together until you achieve a silky, smooth consistency. Scrape down the sides as necessary to ensure everything is well combined.
  • Step 7: Optional Chocolate Chips - If you want an extra decadent touch, melt 2 ounces of chocolate chips and add them to the mixture. Blend again until fully incorporated.
  • Step 8: Taste and Adjust - Give your frosting a taste. If you prefer it sweeter or more chocolatey, feel free to adjust with additional sweetener or cocoa powder.
  • Step 9: Chill and Serve - Transfer the frosting to a mixing bowl and refrigerate for about 30 minutes before using. This helps it firm up a bit and makes it easier to spread.
