  • 3 large ripe bananas (1 1/2 cups mashed)
  • 1 cup creamy almond butter
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 to 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 tsp sea salt (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, mash the 3 ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Step 4: Add in 1 cup of creamy almond butter to the mashed bananas and mix until fully combined.
  • Step 5: In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of quick oats, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, 1 tsp of sea salt, and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon.
  • Step 6: Gradually add the dry mixture to the banana-almond butter mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  • Step 7: Pour in 2 tbsp of pure maple syrup and 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract, then mix well.
  • Step 8: Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Step 9: Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges pull away and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 10: Cool for 10 minutes, then lift out with parchment and cool completely before slicing.
