Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, mash the 3 ripe bananas until smooth.
Step 4: Add in 1 cup of creamy almond butter to the mashed bananas and mix until fully combined.
Step 5: In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of quick oats, 1/2 cup of cocoa powder, 1 tsp of sea salt, and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon.
Step 6: Gradually add the dry mixture to the banana-almond butter mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Step 7: Pour in 2 tbsp of pure maple syrup and 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract, then mix well.
Step 8: Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Step 9: Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges pull away and a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 10: Cool for 10 minutes, then lift out with parchment and cool completely before slicing.
