Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep dish pie pastry
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

Method

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Place the unbaked deep dish pie pastry into a pie dish.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs until light and frothy. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Step 4: Add the softened butter to your egg mixture and beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Step 5: Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  • Step 6: Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  • Step 7: Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  • Step 8: Place the pie in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set and lightly golden.
  • Step 9: Let the pie cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
