  • 30 chocolate-covered pretzels about or as needed to cover surface

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  • Step 2: Line your 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing overhang for easy removal.
  • Step 3: In a medium saucepan, melt the chopped chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  • Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted chocolate mixture, sugar, and eggs. Stir in vanilla, coffee, and espresso granules.
  • Step 5: Sift in flour and salt, then gently fold until just combined.
  • Step 6: Fold in about 20 pretzels, breaking them into pieces.
  • Step 7: Pour the batter into the pan, spreading it evenly, and press remaining pretzels on top. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Step 8: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out with parchment and cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
