  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: Line your 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and packed light brown sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Step 4: In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Step 6: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Step 7: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Step 8: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 9: Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out using parchment paper and let cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
