Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup crab meat canned or fresh, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling

  • In a medium bowl, combine the crab meat, softened cream cheese, chopped green onions, lemon juice, and garlic powder. Mix everything gently until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. The mixture should be creamy but still have small chunks of crab and onions for texture.

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Crescent Roll Dough

  • Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles along the pre-cut lines.

Fill and Roll the Bites

  • Place a spoonful of the crab mixture onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Be careful not to overfill to avoid leakage during baking. Roll the dough from the wide end toward the narrow tip, encasing the filling inside. Pinch the edges gently to seal.

Apply Egg Wash

  • Brush each crescent bite with the beaten egg. This step will give them a beautiful golden glaze as they bake.

Bake

  • Arrange the crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. These Crab Crescent Bites are delightful on their own or paired with a tangy dipping sauce.

  • Medium Bowl

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened for a smooth, lump-free filling.
  • Don’t overfill the crescent dough to prevent leakage during baking.
  • For an extra golden finish, brush the bites with egg wash before baking.
