Crab Dip

This Crab Dip is a crowd-pleaser! Creamy, savory, and loaded with fresh crab meat, it's perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 none Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 cup freshly shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce or more, to taste
  • 1 pound fresh jumbo lump crab meat
  • none none Sourdough bread for serving
  • none none Crackers for serving
  • none none Tortilla chips for serving
  • none none Chopped cold veggies for serving

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Use a spatula to mix them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, chopped green onion, Old Bay seasoning, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Mix well to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Fold in 3/4 cup of the freshly shredded cheddar cheese and the fresh jumbo lump crab meat gently, being careful not to break up the crab too much.
  • Add hot sauce to taste, mixing it in to give your dip a little kick. Remember, you can always add more, but you can’t take it out!
  • Transfer the crab dip to your serving dish and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese on top. Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Serve with sourdough bread, crackers, tortilla chips, and chopped cold veggies.
