Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 pieces thin chicken breasts (approximately 1.5 lbs)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tsp pepper (to taste)
  • 1 juiced lemon
  • Chopped parsley and lemon zest (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Method:

  • Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Step 2: Sear the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the seasoned chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Step 3: Create the Flavor Base
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Step 4: Add the Chicken Broth
Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
  • Step 5: Make it Creamy
Add the butter and cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • Step 6: Finish with Lemon
Stir in the lemon juice and additional pepper to taste.
  • Step 7: Combine and Serve
Return the chicken to the skillet, coating in the sauce and simmering for a few minutes. Garnish with parsley and lemon zest before serving.
