Crispy Baked Chicken Wings

These crispy baked chicken wings are bursting with flavor and are surprisingly easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chicken wings halved at joints, wingtips discarded
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder aluminum-free
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup Frank's Wings Hot Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Line your baking sheet with heavy-duty foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, cracked black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Toss the dried wings in the spice mixture until they are evenly coated.
  • Place the seasoned wings on the wire rack in a single layer.
  • Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the Frank’s Wings Hot Sauce, brown sugar, and water over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large mixing bowl, pour the hot sauce over them, and toss until well coated.

Notes

  • For a milder flavor, use a different hot sauce.
  • Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
