Start by patting your salmon filets dry with paper towels.
Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon filets, coating them evenly. Sprinkle the blackened seasoning generously on both sides.
Place your skillet over medium-high heat and allow it to get hot.
Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the seasoned salmon filets into the skillet, skin side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes.
Using your spatula, gently flip the salmon filets over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily.
Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Serve it on a plate.
