Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon filets Fresh, skin-on preferred
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon blackened seasoning store-bought or homemade

Instructions

  • Start by patting your salmon filets dry with paper towels.
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon filets, coating them evenly. Sprinkle the blackened seasoning generously on both sides.
  • Place your skillet over medium-high heat and allow it to get hot.
  • Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the seasoned salmon filets into the skillet, skin side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  • Using your spatula, gently flip the salmon filets over and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily.
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Serve it on a plate.
