Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings (drumettes and flats separated, wing tips cut off)

Seasoning

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder (aluminum-free)
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4-5 cloves garlic (minced)

Garnish

  • to taste fresh parsley (chopped) for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top.
  • Step 2: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, then add baking powder, kosher salt, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss until evenly coated.
  • Step 3: Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Step 4: While the wings are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  • Step 5: Once the wings are done baking, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the garlic butter sauce over them. Toss well to coat.
  • Step 6: Transfer the wings to a serving platter and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately.
