Ingredients

  • 8 ounces angel hair pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic about 3 cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Begin by bringing a large pot of chicken broth to a boil. Once boiling, add the angel hair pasta and cook according to the package instructions, usually around 3-5 minutes. The broth will add extra flavor to the pasta.
  • While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, reserve about 1 cup of the chicken broth, then drain the pasta. Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Stir to combine, adding a little reserved broth if needed to loosen the sauce.
  • Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary. If you want an extra kick, feel free to add more garlic or even a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Plate your Garlic Butter Pasta and garnish with fresh herbs or grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your delicious creation with a side salad or crusty bread for a complete meal.
