Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken drumsticks about 14 pieces
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This high temperature will help the glaze caramelize beautifully.
  • Step 2: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup a breeze.
  • Step 3: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, canola or vegetable oil, chili sauce, salt, ground ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Step 4: Place the chicken drumsticks in a large bowl or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the glaze over the chicken, ensuring each drumstick is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 5: Place the marinated drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are spaced out evenly for even cooking.
  • Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Step 7: Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Meat Thermometer

Notes

  • Marinate the chicken up to 24 hours in advance for enhanced flavor.
  • Leftover cooked drumsticks can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the drumsticks for a few minutes after baking.
