Instructions

Golden Baked Four-Cheese Ziti Cooking Guide

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.
  • Add the 12 oz of ziti pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package directions until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain well and drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, grated parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  • Add the drained pasta to the cheese mixture, then pour in 2 cups marinara sauce. Stir gently to coat evenly.
  • Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly. Optionally sprinkle extra mozzarella or parmesan on top for a golden crust.
  • Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the top is bubbling and golden brown.
  • Let the baked ziti rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped basil leaves.
