Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 2 tablespoons Ground Flax Seed for flax egg
  • 6 tablespoons Water to activate flax seed
  • 1 cup Creamy Unsweetened Almond Butter
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil melted
  • 1 cup Raw Cacao Powder
  • 1 cup Finely Ground Almond Flour
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Peppermint Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1/2 cup Vegan Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Candy Canes optional, for topping

Instructions

How to Prepare:

  • Step 1: Prepare the Flax Egg - In a small bowl, combine the ground flax seed with water. Stir well and let it sit for about 10 minutes until it thickens.
  • Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients - In a large mixing bowl, combine almond butter and melted coconut oil. Add the flax egg, peppermint extract, and sea salt. Stir until smooth.
  • Step 3: Incorporate the Dry Ingredients - Sift in the cacao powder and almond flour, then add coconut sugar. Mix until fully combined.
  • Step 4: Fold in the Chocolate Chips - Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Step 5: Prepare the Baking Pan - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Step 6: Bake the Brownies - Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Step 7: Cool and Serve - Let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
