Start by scrubbing the potatoes thoroughly under running water. Cut the potatoes into 1/4-inch sticks.
For extra crispy fries, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil and salt until well-coated. Add other seasonings if desired.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned potato sticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Check for doneness; they should be golden brown and crispy. Add 2-3 more minutes if desired.
Carefully remove the fries from the air fryer and serve hot.
