For the Seasoning:

  • 1.5 tablespoons masa harina (or crushed corn chips as a substitute)
  • 4.5 teaspoons chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 0.5 teaspoon beef bouillon powder

For the Beef:

  • 1.33 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 8 ounces American cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Tabasco Jalapeño sauce (or juice from jalapeño slices)

For the Fries:

  • 1 pound Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Frozen Fast Food Fries

For Toppings:

  • 0.5 cup guacamole
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup chopped tomatoes
  • Roasted corn kernels
  • Chopped green onions
  • Pickled sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the masa harina (or crushed corn chips), chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt, paprika, cumin, garlic salt, sugar, dried minced onion, and beef bouillon powder. Mix well to create a flavorful seasoning blend.
  • In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the ground chuck and break it apart using a spatula. Once browned, stir in the seasoning blend from Step 1. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beef is fully seasoned.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk and American cheese over low heat. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and becomes creamy. Add in the Tabasco Jalapeño sauce or jalapeño juice for a spicy kick. Keep the cheese sauce warm.
  • While the cheese sauce is warming, prepare the Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Fries according to the package instructions, usually baking them in the oven until golden and crispy.
  • Once the fries are ready, spread them out on a serving platter. Top the fries generously with the seasoned beef, then drizzle the creamy cheese sauce over everything.
  • Finish by adding your choice of toppings: guacamole, sour cream, chopped tomatoes, roasted corn kernels, chopped green onions, and pickled sliced jalapeños.
  • Dig in and enjoy your delicious Homemade Taco Bell Nacho Fries BellGrande!
