Ingredients

For the Wings:

  • 4 pounds chicken wings fresh
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2.5 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger finely grated
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds for garnish
  • 0.25 cup fresh scallions chopped

Instructions

Preparation Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to achieve crispy skin.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken wings with melted butter, sesame oil, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread wings in a single layer and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 4 tablespoons of butter. Add crushed red pepper flakes, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey, Sriracha, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, lime juice, and cornstarch into the saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • Remove baked wings from the oven and transfer into the sauce, tossing until well coated.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped scallions over the wings before serving.
