Ingredients

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup flour for a light coating
  • 1 tablespoon ginger freshly grated
  • 2 teaspoons paprika for color and a hint of smokiness

  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg for warmth and depth
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper for a bit of heat
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme dried or fresh
  • 1 piece egg to help the flour adhere
  • 2 tablespoons water to create the egg wash

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, ginger, paprika, salt, nutmeg, pepper, and thyme. Mix well.
  • Step 3: In another bowl, whisk together the egg and water until well combined.
  • Step 4: Dip each chicken breast into the egg wash, then coat in the flour mixture.
  • Step 5: Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  • Step 6: While the chicken is baking, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a saucepan. Heat until bubbling.
  • Step 7: Remove chicken from oven, brush with honey glaze, and return to oven for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  • Step 8: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides.
