Ingredients

For the Marinade:

  • 8 ounces feta cheese in brine
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 jalapeño thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 dry chili peppers
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 lemon zest of

Instructions

Preparation Steps:

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Drain the feta cheese from the brine, and if needed, cut it into cubes.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the dried oregano and dry chili peppers.
  • Add the minced garlic, sliced jalapeño, and lemon zest to the bowl. Stir to combine.
  • Drizzle the extra-virgin olive oil over the herb mixture. Mix well until all the ingredients are coated in oil.
  • In your glass jar or container, place a layer of the marinated mixture at the bottom, then add a layer of feta cheese. Continue layering until all ingredients are used.
  • Seal the jar tightly and let it sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying.
  • Once marinated, serve your marinated feta as a dip with crusty bread or as a topping for salads.
