Ingredients

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz dried pasta of choice, half a standard box
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup onion finely chopped
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound chicken breasts cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • Basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Cook the Pasta - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dried pasta of your choice and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • Step 2: Sauté the Aromatics - In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Step 3: Cook the Chicken - Add the butter to the skillet, then toss in the bite-sized chicken pieces. Season with Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  • Step 4: Create the Creamy Sauce - Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes, mixing them into the sauce.
  • Step 5: Combine Pasta and Sauce - Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, gently tossing to coat the noodles in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, feel free to add a splash of pasta cooking water to reach the desired consistency.
  • Step 6: Garnish and Serve - Serve the Marry Me Chicken Pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh basil leaves. Enjoy it hot, and watch as everyone falls in love with this incredible dish!
