Ingredients

For the Marinade:

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice Freshly squeezed works best
  • 1/3 cup olive oil Extra virgin adds a rich taste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic Fresh or jarred
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg A hint of sweetness
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts cut into 1" strips
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Instructions:

  • Step 1: Prepare the Marinade - In a mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, coriander, cumin, and nutmeg. Whisk until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  • Step 2: Marinate the Chicken - Add the chicken strips to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.
  • Step 3: Preheat the Ninja Foodi - Turn on your Ninja Foodi and set it to the air fryer function. Preheat it to 390°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 4: Air Fry the Chicken Tenders - Once preheated, remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Season with salt and pepper. Place the strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Step 5: Cook the Chicken - Cook the chicken tenders in the Ninja Foodi for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. The tenders should be golden brown and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the Ninja Foodi and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
