  • 3 ozpackage orange gelatin mix just the powder
  • 16 ozof 4% fat cottage cheese small or large curd will work
  • 14 ozcan mandarin oranges drained
  • 1 cupmini marshmallows

  • If the whipped topping is still frozen, thaw it according to the package directions. Place the 8 oz thawed whipped topping in a large mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle the entire 3 oz package of orange gelatin powder (dry) evenly over the whipped topping. Stir gently with a spatula or spoon until the powder is fully incorporated and the mixture is uniform in color and texture.
  • Add the 16 oz cottage cheese to the bowl and fold it into the whipped topping–gelatin mixture until evenly combined, using gentle folding motions to keep the mixture light.
  • Drain the 14 oz can mandarin oranges well; gently pat or shake to remove excess liquid. Fold the drained orange segments into the mixture, taking care not to crush them.
  • Add 1 cup mini marshmallows and fold them in gently until evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the salad to a serving bowl or airtight container, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld, or serve immediately if you prefer.
