Ingredients

For the Tofu:

  • 1 pound extra firm tofu pressed and cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • Press the tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for 15-20 minutes.
  • Once pressed, cut the tofu into 1-inch bite-sized cubes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch, whisking until smooth.
  • Add cubed tofu to the bowl and gently toss to coat. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the marinated tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Once golden brown and crispy, remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
