Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup cooked turkey sausage crumbled
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  • If your turkey sausage is not cooked, crumble it into a skillet over medium heat and cook until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cooked turkey sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated and creamy.
  • Unroll the refrigerated crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines. You should have about 8 triangles.
  • Place a generous spoonful of the sausage and cream cheese mixture onto the wider end of each crescent triangle. Roll the dough from the wide end toward the tip, enclosing the filling. Pinch the edges slightly to seal.
  • Arrange the filled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing a couple of inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.

Equipment

  • Oven

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing and smooth filling.
  • Don't overfill crescents to prevent leaking during baking.
  • For a crispier crust, brush crescents with melted butter before baking.
