Ingredients

For the Seasoned Ground Turkey:

  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 large onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

Cooking Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients - Start by finely dicing your onion. Having all your ingredients prepped ahead of time will make the cooking process smooth and enjoyable.
  • Step 2: Heat the Skillet - Place your large skillet over medium heat. Allow it to warm up for a couple of minutes. If you’re using a non-stick skillet, you may not need additional oil, but feel free to add a splash of olive oil for extra flavor.
  • Step 3: Sauté the Onion - Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 3-5 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
  • Step 4: Add the Ground Turkey - Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground turkey to the skillet. Use your spatula or wooden spoon to break up the meat as it cooks.
  • Step 5: Season the Turkey - As the turkey starts to brown, sprinkle in the garlic powder, paprika, thyme, oregano, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Stir well to combine.
  • Step 6: Cook Until Done - Continue to cook the turkey for about 8-10 minutes, or until it is fully cooked through and no longer pink.
  • Step 7: Taste and Adjust - Once the turkey is cooked, taste it and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • Step 8: Serve and Enjoy - Remove from the heat and serve your seasoned ground turkey in tacos, over rice, or as part of a hearty casserole.
