Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons salted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter creamy or chunky
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups quick/instant oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup M&Ms plus more for topping
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for even baking.
  • Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and peanut butter. Blend until smooth, then add granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
  • In another bowl, whisk together quick oats and baking soda. Gradually add to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in M&Ms and chocolate chips. Distribute them evenly in the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden.
  • Let cool completely in the pan, then lift out using parchment paper and cut into squares.
