Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb skirt steak cut into thin strips
  • 1 Tbsp oil (vegetable or canola)
  • ¾ cup hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp minced onion
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 (3-oz) packages ramen noodles any flavor
  • Green onions sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  • Begin by cutting the skirt steak into thin strips. This will help it cook quickly and evenly. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper if you like.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, white vinegar, minced onion, minced garlic, and brown sugar. This sauce will be the star of the show, bringing all the flavors together.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the sliced skirt steak. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the steak is browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the ramen noodles (discarding the flavor packets) and enough water to cover them. Cook according to the package instructions, usually around 3-4 minutes, until tender.
  • Drain any excess water from the noodles and return them to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the noodles and add the cooked steak. Toss everything together until the noodles and steak are well-coated in the spicy sauce.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately. Garnish with sliced green onions for an added crunch and fresh flavor. Enjoy your bowl of Spicy Steak Ramen Noodles!

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Sharp Knife
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Wooden Spoon or Spatula
  • Bowls

Notes

  • For extra tender steak, marinate the skirt steak in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Don’t overcook the steak; it’s best when it’s still slightly pink in the center.
  • If you like it spicier, add more hot sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to experiment with different ramen noodle flavors for variety!
