Ingredients

For the Cookies:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1.5 cups light brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups sprinkles divided
  • Extra sea salt for sprinkling on cookies, if desired

Instructions

Baking Instructions:

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Set this mixture aside.
  • Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 4: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Step 6: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and 1 cup of the sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  • Step 7: Drop rounded balls of dough onto a prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Step 8: Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of sprinkles on top of the dough balls.
  • Step 9: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Step 10: Remove cookies and sprinkle with sea salt if desired. Cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
