Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This allows your meatballs to cook evenly.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup a breeze.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground turkey, almond flour, eggs, Greek yogurt, smoked paprika, chili powder, ground cumin, coriander, onion powder, granulated garlic, kosher salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Use your hands or a spoon to mix everything until just combined. Avoid over-mixing as this can make the meatballs tough.
  • Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, making sure to leave space between each one.
  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden color.
  • Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. You can enjoy them as is, or with your favorite sauce. They also pair beautifully with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cookie scoop or spoon

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding finely chopped fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley into the meat mixture.
  • If you like a bit of sweetness, add a tablespoon of honey to the mix for a hint of sweetness that complements the spices.
  • These meatballs are great for meal prep! Make a batch on the weekend and store them in the fridge or freezer for quick meals throughout the week.
